Converting Myself

I'm watching a little video called The District and one of the missionaries in the video started talking about his life while he was younger.  He was born and raised within the church and never really cared for it.  He didn't feel the spirit or understand it.
It wasn't till a friend in need asked him to pray that he had been able to truly convert himself to the church.

I feel like I have similar attributes from his story... I was born and raised within the church and I honestly wouldn't have been able to explain any of it or how the spirit felt to me.  I didn't understand it and I really didn't care to.
I truly feel that every single member in the church is a convert, no matter how long they have been within this wonderful Gospel.

Everyday we should all be trying to be better and follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.  No it won't be easy.  But I have a strong opinion that anything that is easy... isn't really worth doing.  If it doesn't challenge you, then it won't change you.

Today, I looked at my missionary portal to see what else I can be doing while the earthly needs for the mission are in progress.  Things I can do that would help prepare me spiritually.

On the portal it has a picture of my face and how many days I have left before I leave my life behind for eighteen beautiful months. I have 95 days to prepare myself.

With the help of the Lord.  I know I can do it :)

With much love,
Hermana Bastian
